Between the ever changing July sunshine and showers, we've been working with some gorgeous people on interesting photographic projects.
Our July shoots have included, regular corporate clients popping into the studio to update their portraits, as well as sending in new team members. One of our favourites had this huge complement from one of their clients regarding their new portrait photography:-
'The first reaction from the first client to see the website in Singapore was “nice to see the photographs all look the same as it is much more professional”.'
Professional photography really does make such a positive impact on your clients, and the look of your marketing material. Never be afraid to ask a Photographer you like the work of, for a quote - we are all here to help you, and make you, and your business look fabulous!
From studio portrait sessions, to a location shoot for Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel - this time we were there to photograph their new Afternoon Tea, and creating an updated, more relaxed selection of images for their social media use.
July also had us out and about for more location photography sessions for the lovely team at Paul Patisserie - what's not to love about photographing their delicious pastries and macarons?!
A studio session for Martin Millers Gin was a nice change from all the location shoots - always love making their innovative ideas come to life either as photographic stills or cinemagraphs and videos. And we had the lovely Beth Davies with us to style the shots, like an amazing styling thing - such a bonus!
Just to bring my blood pressure up, we had the gorgeous De Lamerie tableware in the studio with a couple of amazing china, silver and crystal designs. White gloves on, no sudden movements, and specialized lighting to enhance and bring out the intricacies of the hand painted gold designs. Such a relief when everything is packed up and on it's way back to their office in one beautiful piece. Always worth it though.
There were a few birthdays, and plenty of dog walks interspersed with the photography projects which is great to mix things up a bit and refresh the mind.
In other news, we had a new, big boy American style fridge / freezer delivered. This will give us much more room for all the food and cocktail shoots here in the studio, plus some extra space for a few shoot treats.
For the last seven years we have had the pleasure for photographing new products and lifestyle set ups for Made.com, a leading online furniture company.
Watching a company like this grow has been fascinating. And as it's developed, it's brought new creative challenges to keep us on our toes at every shoot. It's gone from just being bedroom and living room furniture to lighting, accessories, storage, homewares and beyond.
The set ups, angles and lighting has to be consistent yet adaptable to change for each set up and size of product - from sofas to spoons - usually in the same day!
